Job summary

The Family Support Specialist (FSS) at Assistance Plus will work with the behavioral health home team in Maine to ensure well-coordinated and integrated care for youth and families. The role requires leadership and technical assistance in developing and implementing BHHO family support services, with a willingness to share experiences with families, co-workers, and community providers.

Qualifications

Three+ years of lived parenting experience with at least one child/youth who lived with you for three+ years and has related emotional/developmental/behavioral/substance use or mental health concerns.
Proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K and a valid Maine driver's license.
Entry-level computer skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Parent/Family Peer certification or provisional.

Responsibilities

Work with the BHHO team to ensure well-coordinated and integrated care for youth and families.
Provide leadership and technical assistance in developing and implementing the BHHO family support services.
Share experiences with families, co-workers, and community providers to support success.
