Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking an experienced Residential Rear Load Driver in Ohio. The role requires driving a rear-load truck, servicing customers, and maintaining routes with attention to safety and accuracy.

The team handles trash and recycling collections across multiple routes, with a strong commitment to service and the environment. Qualified candidates will have a valid Class B CDL, DOT Medical Card, and the ability to work nights/weekends.

• Ability to read and understand a map.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day, depending on the assigned route.
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs.
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab.
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
