Job summary

48forty Solutions is hiring a CDL Driver in Richmond, VA. You'll handle local truckload deliveries, primarily drop and hook, with 2-5 routes per shift on a 1st shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 7:00am). Expect automatic 53’ trucks for 8–10 hour shifts, with competitive pay and benefits.

Requirements include at least 1 year of CDL-A driving experience within the last 3 years, valid CDL-A license, DOT physical, and English proficiency. Opportunities for growth and daily pay options are available.

Qualifications

• 1 year of CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years
• Must be at least 23 years of age
• Must possess a valid CDL-A license
• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician
• No disqualifications to drive
• DOT road test completion
• PSP scores of 10 or below in past 3 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently

Responsibilities

• Handle all local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook
• Deliver and pick up trailers within 150 miles making about 2-5 routes per shift
• Drive an automatic, 53’ truck/dry van for 8-10 hour shifts
• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle
• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician
• No record of being disqualified to drive
• Successful completion of a DOT road test
• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years - a higher score will be reviewed
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
