48forty Solutions in Richmond, VA is seeking a CDL Driver to perform local truckload deliveries with primarily drop-and-hook operations. Expect 1st shift, 7:00am start, home daily and weekends off with no touch freight.

The role requires 1 year CDL-A experience, valid CDL, DOT physical, and clean PSP/ driving record. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered, with opportunities for long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• 1 year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years.
• Must be at least 23 years old or older.
• Must possess a valid CDL license to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician.
• No record of disqualification to drive.
• Successful completion of a DOT road test.
• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years; higher scores will be reviewed.
• No more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years.

What You’ll Do

• Handle all local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook
• Deliver and pick up trailers within 150 miles making about 2-5 routes per shift
• Drive an automatic, 53’ truck/dry van for 8-10 hour shifts

What You’ll Need

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older
• Must Possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle
• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician
• No record of being disqualified to drive
• Successful completion of a DOT road test
• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years – a higher score will be reviewed
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
