Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a CDL Driver in Hammond, LA to handle local truckload deliveries with drop and hook. You'll work Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and be home daily with weekends off. Competitive hourly pay starts at $21.00 with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include delivering and picking up trailers within a 500-mile radius, driving an automatic 53’ truck, and completing DOT-required tests. A valid CDL-A and clean PSP are required.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license with at least 1 year of driving in the past 3 years.
• Must be 23 years or older and legally able to operate a CMV.
• Clear DOT medical examination and road test required.
• No disqualifications from CDL driving.

As a CDL Driver, you’ll get the opportunity for competitive pay, for weekends off, to be home daily, and have no touch freight!

Hourly Pay:

$21.00/hr with $5,000 sign on bonus ($2,500 paid at 30 days, $2,500 portion paid at 90 days)

Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Handle all local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook

• Deliver and pick up trailers within (500 miles) making about (3-5 routes) routes per shift

• Drive an automatic, 53’ truck/dry van for (10-12 of hours) shifts

What You'll Need

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years

• Must be at least 23 years of age or older

• Must Possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle

• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician

• No record of being disqualified to drive

• Successful completion of a DOT road test

• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years – a higher score will be reviewed

• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years

• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
