Silvi Materials in Mount Holly, NJ is hiring a Concrete Truck Driver. The role requires operating an 80,000-lb ready-mix truck and delivering concrete to construction sites with strict safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid commercial driver’s license CDL-A or CDL-B.
• Must pass a DOT drug screen.
• Able to work a variable schedule with start times between 12:00 am and 9:00 am.

Responsibilities

• Deliver concrete in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining quality and safety.
• Operate an 80,000 lbs ready-mix truck per regulations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report repairs as needed.
• Load and pour concrete using ladders and chutes, navigating heavy traffic areas.
• Maintain delivery, truck and driving records per company and regulatory requirements.
• Read delivery tickets and coordinate with dispatch for all deliveries.
• Wash residual materials from the truck and barrel.

So what does a Silvi Materials Concrete Mixer driver do?

• Maintain the highest standard of quality and safety while ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of concrete.
• Operate an 80,000 lbs ready-mix truck in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT guidelines; document and request required repairs as needed.
• Load and pour concrete according to procedures involving the use of ladders, main chutes, and extension chutes, as well as driving in and out of areas with heavy pedestrian and equipment traffic.
• Maintain delivery, truck and driving records in accordance with company policies, as well as federal and state regulations.
• Read delivery tickets and communicate with dispatch regarding all deliveries.
• Wash residual concrete and materials off and out of all areas of the truck and barrel.

Qualifications Required as a Silvi Materials Driver.

• Must possess a valid commercial driver’s license CDL-A or CDL-B and have a valid DOT Medical Card
• Must pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• Able to work a variable schedule. Start times are anywhere between 12:00 am through 9:00 am. Requires calling in to the plant at 4/5pm daily.
• 1 year of preferred driving expereince

• Be physically active for long periods of time.
• Determine from which direction a sound came.
• See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
