Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Wisconsin is seeking a Shuttle Driver to move empty trailers to operating locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will operate tandem, tractor, or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, maintaining safety, DOT compliance, and professional service while presenting the face of our company to customers.

This role offers a consistent night schedule Sunday to Thursday, home every day, with competitive pay ($80,000–$85,000 per year)

Qualifications

• . 12 months commercial driving experience.
• . High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent.
• . Internal candidates must be in good standing.
• . Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• . Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• . Must be 21 years of age.
• . Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements.
• . Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• . Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights.
• . Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• . Pass road test.
• . Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• . Able to lift 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; inspects trailer for proper loading and security.
• Ensures route paperwork is ready and available to driver at dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Parks and stores tractors/trailers in designated areas.
• Keeps equipment and freight secured.
• Collects damaged goods and returns paperwork.
• Unloads materials and removes trailer trash as required.
• Completes daily hours-of-service records per regulations.
• Performs general housekeeping in the tractor and loading dock area.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.
