Responsibilities include welcoming guests, assisting with check-in and check-out, handling payments, resolving account discrepancies, creating and canceling reservations, acting as a switchboard relief, providing luggage assistance, and assisting with valet parking and cab calls.
Responsibilities and Authorities
- Always treat guests with courtesy and respect in various situations
- Demonstrate honesty and integrity
- Connect with guests daily, providing exceptional service and memorable experiences
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints
- Report guest concerns to the Front Desk Supervisor/Duty Manager
- Establish and develop long-term customer relationships
- Create an inviting atmosphere to enhance guest stays
- Coordinate and multi-task in an active environment
- Assist with summoning valet and cabs
- Maintain eye contact and use guest names during interactions
Specific Duties
Greeting and Welcoming Guests
- Greet guests warmly
- Speak clearly and discreetly
- Open doors and greet guests entering and leaving
- Open vehicle doors and greet guests
- Use guest names when possible and maintain professionalism
Check-In and Out Services
- Assist with kiosk check-in
- Enter arrival alerts and messages
- Correct account inaccuracies
- Post charges and perform daily balance checks
- Check groups and tours in and out
- Familiarize guests with hotel facilities and amenities
- Update guest profiles
Luggage Assistance
- Assist with luggage upon arrival and departure
- Escort guests to rooms and handle luggage
- Secure and retrieve luggage
- Use bell carts to assist guests
Arrivals and Room Moves
- Escort guests to rooms and familiarize them with facilities
- Coordinate room moves with the Front Desk
Guest Interaction
- Maintain good posture and greeting manners
- Assist with special requests and VIPs
- Help with guest requests, errands, and deliveries
General Store
- Maintain store and conduct sales
- Know product details and report inventory
Guest Services Responsibilities
- Report concerns and provide concierge services
- Investigate guest charges and resolve complaints
- Manage messages, mail, and reservations
- Upsell rooms to maximize revenue
- Assist with luggage, packages, and cab calls
- Perform other duties as assigned
Reconciliation and Cash Handling
- Balance cash daily and deposit in safe
- Handle billing and sensitive information professionally
- Accept deposits, make change, and balance banks
Requirements
- Experience in hospitality, retail, or service industries preferred
- Ability to stand for up to 6 hours
- Proficient in computer and typing skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
