Responsibilities include: welcoming guests, assisting with check-in and check-out, receiving payments, resolving account and reservation discrepancies, creating and canceling reservations, acting as a switchboard relief, providing luggage assistance, and supporting valet parking and cab services.
Responsibilities and Authorities
- Always treat guests with courtesy and respect.
- Maintain honesty and integrity.
- Connect with guests daily, providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints.
- Report guest concerns or comments to the Front Desk Supervisor/Duty Manager.
- Build long-term customer relationships to enhance value and profitability.
- Create an inviting atmosphere to enhance guest stays.
- Coordinate and multi-task in a busy environment.
- Assist with summoning third-party valet services and cabs.
- Maintain eye contact and use guests' names during interactions.
Specific Duties
Greeting and Welcoming Guests
- Greet guests warmly and professionally.
- Speak clearly and discreetly.
- Position at the main entrance to open doors and greet guests.
- Open vehicle doors and greet guests as they arrive.
- Use guest names whenever possible and maintain professionalism.
Check-In and Check-Out Services
- Assist guests with kiosk check-in.
- Enter arrival alerts and messages.
- Correct account inaccuracies and discrepancies.
- Post charges and perform daily balance checks.
- Manage group check-ins and check-outs.
- Familiarize prospective guests with hotel facilities and amenities.
- Update guest profiles with accurate billing and preferences.
Luggage Assistance
- Assist with luggage upon arrival and departure.
- Escort guests to rooms and handle luggage accordingly.
- Secure and store luggage for guests.
Arrivals and Room Moves
- Escort guests to rooms, familiarize them with in-room features.
- Coordinate with the front desk regarding room changes.
Guest Interaction
- Maintain good posture and professional demeanor.
- Assist with special requests and coordinate with the front desk.
- Familiarize with VIPs and arrivals.
- Help with guest requests, errands, and deliveries.
General Store
- Maintain and operate the general store.
- Conduct sales and understand product details.
- Report monthly inventory.
Guest Services
- Report guest concerns to management.
- Provide concierge services.
- Investigate and resolve guest charges and complaints.
- Manage reservations and upsell rooms.
- Assist with luggage, packages, and transportation requests.
Reconciliation and Cash Handling
- Balance cash daily and deposit securely.
- Handle guest deposits and make change accurately.
Requirements
- Experience in hospitality, retail, or service industries preferred.
- Ability to stand for up to 6 hours.
- Proficiency in computer and typing skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
