Job summary

Sterling CDJR Opelousas in Opelousas, LA is seeking a Loaner Car Agent to guide customers through the loaner process while their vehicle is serviced in our Service Department. Strong communication and service skills are essential for success.

As a team-friendly, family-owned business, we offer a supportive environment with daily customer interaction, documentation, and scheduling to ensure a smooth loaner experience. Full-time schedule Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in a customer service role.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Works well both with a team and independently.
• Must be coachable and have strong communication and time management skills.
• Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 21 years of age or have 3 full years of driving experience due to insurance purposes.
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through the loaner car process and address concerns.
• Ensure all required documentation is provided and policies are understood.
• Assist Service Advisors with vehicle status updates.
• Prepare and facilitate rental agreements with detailed information.
• Answer and direct calls, schedule service appointments.
• Handle insurance claims and collect deductibles for damages.
• Maintain updated records in spreadsheets and programs.
• Follow up with customers via phone and text on services and appointments.
