Job summary

Apple River State Bank is seeking a Full-Time Loan Support Specialist in Galena, IL to ensure loan requests move accurately from application through servicing. The role supports documentation, processing, and customer follow-through.

Responsibilities include preparing loan documents, processing payments and line advances, and boarding loans in the mainframe while ensuring compliance with state/federal lending policies and internal controls. Onsite work schedule applies.

Qualifications

• Two-year college or technical certificate or equivalent experience required.
• Credit or loan processing background preferred.
• 1-2 years in customer service and data entry.
• Ability to learn state/federal lending compliance and policies.
• Knowledge of loan servicing terminology and title policy concepts.
• Basic computer skills; experience with mainframe, spreadsheets and lending software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare loan documentation and processing paperwork.
• Process loan payments and line-of-credit advances.
• Set up overdraft protection documentation.
• Board loans in the bank's mainframe system.
• Complete insurance and reporting workflows.
