Job summary

Glacier Bancorp, Inc. is hiring a Loan Assistant to support lenders with loan processing, documentation and inquiries. This in-person role focuses on gathering documentation, preparing packets and closing loans, while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent customer service.

The position requires collaboration with the lending team, attention to detail, and the ability to manage routine tasks within a fast-paced community bank environment in Idaho Falls.

Qualifications

• Customer service and sales experience preferred.
• Banking experience preferred.
• Able to work quickly and accurately.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with keyboarding and computer applications.
• Organized, detail oriented.
• Moderate knowledge of loan documentation.
• Moderate knowledge of spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Assist commercial loan officer with new loan applicants and collect initial documentation.
• Prepare loan packets for closings including SBA, RBS and other programs.
• Assist lenders with loan closings on-site during business hours.
• Track collateral and manage customer portfolios.
• Stay current on loan programs, regulations and procedures.
• Support file and portfolio maintenance, credits/debits to accounts/loans.
• Assist with reports, scheduling, and client events.
• Support marketing efforts and monitor lending production.
• Handle document import, scanning and retention; process payments and loan draws.
