Job summary

Independent Bank is seeking a Loan Servicing Support Specialist to deliver exceptional service to customers and support our Loan Servicing departments. You will handle daily clerical tasks, manage inbound/outbound calls, and provide timely, professional assistance with loan needs.

This role requires mortgage/consumer loan servicing experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative banking environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mortgage/Consumer loan servicing experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
• Strong detail and organizational skills required.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Knowledge of FIServ, Image Centre, Encompass, Word, Excel, Outlook, and copier.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the entire Loan Servicing team including General Servicing, Escrow Servicing, Payoff/Discharge, Loan Review, Modifications and Investor Accounting, Collections, and Management teams.
• Edit all categories of Loan input; note errors and prepare corrective maintenance.
• Prepare/Run various reports within Servicing.
• Work within servicing in various departments under supervisor direction.
• Prepare documents to be imaged.
• Perform extensive research when required.
• Inform supervisor of new or repetitive inaccuracies.
• Answer phone calls and complete system maintenance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
