Job summary

Independent Bank is seeking a Loan Servicing Support Specialist to deliver exceptional service to customers and support our Loan Servicing departments. You’ll handle daily clerical tasks, manage inbound and outbound calls, and ensure timely, professional assistance with loan needs.

You’ll collaborate with General Servicing, Escrow, Payoff/Discharge, and other teams, edit loan inputs, prepare reports, image documents, and perform research as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Mortgage/consumer loan servicing experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls to customers with loan questions.
• Edit loan input categories and record errors with corrective maintenance.
• Prepare and run reports within Servicing and related departments.
• Assist in imaging documents and provide research as needed.
• Collaborate with various Loan Servicing teams and supervisors.

About the Job:

As a Loan Servicing Support Specialist at Independent Bank, you’ll play an important role in delivering exceptional service to our customers and supporting our Loan Servicing departments. In this position, you will handle a variety of daily clerical tasks that help keep our loan operations running smoothly, while serving as a key point of contact for customers with loan-related questions. You’ll manage both inbound and outbound phone calls, provide clear and accurate information, and ensure each customer receives timely, professional assistance with their loan needs.

What You Will Do:

• Ability to communicate with the entire Loan Servicing team including General Servicing, Escrow Servicing, Payoff/Discharge, Loan Review, Modifications and Investor Accounting, Collections, and Management teams.
• Accurately edits all categories of Loan input. Notes all errors and prepares corrective maintenance.
• Prepares/Works various reports within Servicing.
• Works within servicing in various departments to fill in with the supervisor’s direction.
• Prepare the documents to be imaged.
• Performs extensive research when required.
• Inform the supervisor of any new or repetitive inaccuracies.
• Answer phone calls and complete system maintenance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mortgage/Consumer loan servicing experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
• Strong detail and organizational skills required.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Knowledge of FIServ, Image Centre, Encompass, Word, Excel, Outlook, and copier.
