Alerus in Minnetonka, MN is seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist, II to book and service all loan types, including commercial and consumer. You will apply regulatory know-how and ensure accurate system processing while delivering a superior client experience.

Responsibilities include booking loans to the core system, posting payments, handling payoffs, coordinating with credit and documentation, and supporting customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience in the financial industry.
• 3-5 years of related experience in loan operations.
• High level of communication and client-service skills.
• Ability to manage high volume, time sensitive transactions and situations.
• Ability to carry out the work of loan programs and projects, including after-hours support.
• High level of commitment to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to accept, support and implement continuous change.

Responsibilities

• Book loans to the core system, including new, renewals, or extensions.
• Review loans for accuracy post-booking and run various reports to ensure integrity.
• Support consumer and commercial loan processing including mortgage, lease, floor plan and participations.
• Collaborate with loan documentation and credit administration to ensure accuracy.
• Process loan payments and fund disbursements via all channels.
• Monitor inboxes and perform loan maintenance, payoff quotes and reports.
• Maintain tracking for UCC filings, continuations, lien perfection, insurance processing and mortgages.
• Handle paid loan processing including lien releases and mortgage satisfactions.
• Assist internal departments and external clients with servicing inquiries.
• Identify and resolve exceptions; escalate when needed.
• Identify process improvements to enhance client experience and scale.
