Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in loan processing, mortgage lending, or a similar field preferred.
• Strong understanding of lending regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify loan application documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Enter and update loan application data into the processing system.
• Collect and organize borrower documentation (credit reports, tax returns, bank statements).
• Communicate with borrowers to request missing documents and clarify discrepancies.
• Ensure loan documentation complies with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with underwriters to resolve issues and approvals.
• Track loan status and document communications and actions.
• Review loan files for accuracy before submission for final approval.
• Provide customer service and answer questions about the process.
