Job summary

The role involves data entry, document management, and collaboration with underwriters. It may be office-based or remote per policy, with occasional overtime to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of loan processing, mortgage or similar experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of lending regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in loan processing software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify loan application documents for completeness and compliance.
• Enter and update loan data in the processing system.
• Collect and organize borrower documents (credit reports, tax returns, bank statements).
• Communicate with borrowers to request missing documents and clarify discrepancies.
• Ensure all documents comply with state and federal regulations and policies.
• Collaborate with underwriters to resolve issues for loan approval.
• Track loan status and maintain clear records of actions.
• Review loan files for accuracy before submission for final approval.
• Provide borrower support and clear answers about the loan process.
