Job summary

BankCherokee is seeking a Loan Operations Manager in Saint Paul, MN to lead the loan operations team, oversee onboarding, closing, servicing, and portfolio maintenance, and drive operational excellence with regulators in mind.

You will partner with lenders to deliver accurate, compliant loan operations, improve processes, and support the bank’s growth while building a high-performing, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of banking experience with progressive responsibility in loan operations.
• Three or more years in lead or management roles.
• Experience with loan documentation, onboarding, servicing, collateral administration, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations and risk management.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills; degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead loan onboarding, closing, servicing, and support activities for efficient experience.
• Coach and develop Loan Operations team.
• Oversee loan documentation, booking, collateral administration, payment processing, and exception resolution.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, controls, audits, and risk management.
• Improve processes, workflows, and technology to support efficiency and scalability.
