Job summary

Southern Bank of Tennessee is seeking a Loan Processing Specialist – Loan Documentation & File Coordination to support a smooth closing process at the Mt. Juliet, TN branch.

The role coordinates internal processing of loan applications and prepares complete, accurate loan documentation in line with policies and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include reviewing applications, ordering documentation, communicating with lenders and closing agents, and ensuring timely file progression.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of loan documentation requirements including title work, appraisals, insurance, and closing docs.
• Experience with reviewing and coordinating consumer, commercial, and real estate loan documents.
• Familiarity with TRID, HMDA, Flood Insurance Regulations and related lending rules.

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Order and track title work, appraisals, flood determinations, insurance, and third-party items.
• Coordinate with lenders, underwriters, title companies, and closing agents to obtain missing docs and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare complete loan document packages for closing with accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure disclosures and supporting documents are properly filed for closing.
• Monitor loan pipeline for missing conditions and timely progression.
• Coordinate closing logistics and verify signing authority and closing instructions.
