Job summary

Southern Bank of Tennessee seeks a Loan Servicing Specialist – Loan Documentation & Quality Control to join the Mt. Juliet branch. You will review loan files for accuracy, ensure proper execution of documents, perfection of collateral, and compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Strong attention to detail and knowledge of loan documentation are essential. Responsibilities include verifying signatures, collateral perfection, and regulatory adherence, while maintaining exception tracking

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in loan servicing, loan operations, loan documentation, loan review, or related banking field preferred.
• Experience reviewing consumer, commercial, and real estate loan documentation strongly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of loan documentation and collateral perfection requirements.
• Knowledge of UCC filings, title work, mortgages, deeds of trust, and related collateral documentation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reviews of consumer, commercial, and real estate loan files to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Verify loan documents are properly executed and signatures obtained.
• Review collateral documentation to ensure liens are properly perfected and secured.
• Validate recording, titling, UCC filings, mortgage/deed of trust filings, and other collateral perfection requirements.
• Confirm required insurance coverage, flood determinations, and collateral-related documentation are obtained and maintained.
• Ensure loan files comply with internal lending policies and applicable regulations.
• Identify documentation exceptions and coordinate resolution with lenders and stakeholders.
• Prepare reports related to documentation deficiencies and compliance findings.
