Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. seeks a Loader Operator to safely move aggregate materials on site and load customer trucks accurately. You’ll stockpile materials from railcars and support production in a fast-paced team setting.

This role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and reliable daily performance, with opportunities for overtime and advancement within a leader in the industry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
• 1 year of Heavy Equipment experience; previous loader operator experience preferred.
• Experience with a variety of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loader safely and efficiently per training and manufacturer instructions.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections on vehicle systems and equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment.
• Report needed repairs to supervision.
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment.
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with operation of other equipment as needed.
• Adhere to MSHA/OSHA and plant safety rules and procedures.
