Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Loader Operator to operate a rubber-tired loader, lifting and transporting bulk materials within a batch plant environment. The role may include light maintenance and housekeeping of the feeder and plant areas as needed.

You will perform routine inspections, ensure safe operations, and communicate with supervisors and customers while supporting daily plant activities.

Responsibilities

• Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader.
• Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front-end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material.
• Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, drives to work site, and dumps material.
• Perform Pre-Shift Inspections and follow standard procedures; routine maintenance like lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Maintain effective communications with supervisors and customers served.
• Inspect batch plant to ensure smooth startup; check gates, belts, rollers, and related components.
• Clean up batch plant area daily; store tools and equipment securely after use.
• Inspect Water/Boiler and air systems; follow start-up/shutdown procedures.
• Weekly site cleaning and plant greasing; inspect bearings; check monthly gear boxes and belts.
• Carry out regular checks and upkeep to keep the plant running smoothly.
