Job summary

SRM Concrete is hiring a Loader Operator to run front‑end loaders and other heavy equipment at our Abilene plant. You will move sand, gravel, and cement, load trucks, and help keep materials flowing.

We welcome applicants willing to learn with on‑the‑job training, a valid license, and a safety‑minded approach. You’ll work with a team, in all weather, and contribute to a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loaders or large machinery is beneficial; training is provided for motivated applicants.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Safety-oriented mindset and willingness to follow safety rules.
• Ability to inspect equipment and perform basic fixes or report issues.
• Team player who communicates well and shows up ready to work.
• Must be physically able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment screenings.
• Adherence to SRM's 5 Principles of Service: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, Go-Getter.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to move sand, gravel, and cement.
• Load and unload trucks, hoppers, bins, and conveyors to keep materials flowing.
• Collaborate with crew to maintain production schedules.
• Inspect equipment before and after shifts and report issues.
• Follow safety rules and wear required PPE at all times.
• Keep the work area clean and organized for safety.
• Assist with inventory counts to prevent stockouts.
• Share ideas with plant leaders to improve operations.
• Lend a hand as needed to support teammates.
