Job summary

Koch Fertilizer, LLC is looking for a Loader Operator to join our Plant Operations team in Wever, Iowa. You will load trucks and railcars safely, help maintain throughput, and support product flow in a 24/7 facility.

This outdoor role requires 12-hour shifts on a 4-5-5 rotation with periodic overtime. We expect ownership, initiative, and continuous improvement, with training to grow your skills and contribute to safe, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the role, including working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Wearing required PPE and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks and railcars safely and efficiently while maintaining throughput.
• Work with valves, loading arms, hoses, and tankers during top loading.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals with provided PPE.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and logistics teams.
• Interact with truck drivers and rail personnel to ensure smooth site operations.
• Participate in training and expand knowledge of plant systems.
• Identify and own problems to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot loading and equipment issues to prevent recurring problems.
• Maintain safety ownership and be prepared for rotating shift schedules.
