Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is seeking a Load Planner to coordinate freight movement and customer service. You will plan shipments, optimize loads, tender freight to carriers, and keep Transportation Manager System up-to-date while answering internal and external inquiries.

Responsibilities include load-building, monitoring emails, providing visibility to management and customers, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Travel and flexible shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ year experience in Transportation/Supply Chain preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and sense of urgency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to learn and operate multiple computer systems.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and Penske associates.

Responsibilities

• Load-building: add shipments to a load, rate, secure coverage and set appointments.
• Provide excellent customer service to assigned accounts.
• Manage call center and shared email box.
• Provide shipment visibility with tracking and issue resolution.
• Recover customer loads and maintain daily logs and trackers.
• Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned by supervision.
