Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Reading, PA is seeking a Load Planner to coordinate freight movement, plan and optimize shipments, tender to carriers, and maintain shipment visibility. You'll work with Transportation Manager System and interface with customers.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, ability to learn multiple systems, and flexibility to work First, Second, and Third shifts. Travel as needed may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 1+ year of Transportation/Supply Chain experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must learn and operate various computer systems across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Load-building: add shipments to a load, rate, secure carrier coverage, and set appointments.
• Provide excellent Customer Service to assigned accounts.
• Call Center and shared email box responsibility.
• Provide visibility by tracking shipments and auditing operational issues.
• Recover customer loads and complete daily logs and trackers.
• Assist with other projects as assigned by supervisor.
