Job summary

Parr is seeking a Load Builder to assemble and load materials safely for drivers. You will read pick tickets, verify SKUs, and stack inventory while operating a forklift and performing light unloading tasks.

The role involves daily yard duties, inventory adjustments, and maintaining accuracy of paperwork in a fast-paced outdoor setting. This position supports the team with efficient load building and can involve backup roles such as receiver or dispatcher as needed.

Qualifications

• OSHA certified forklift license is required.
• Familiarity with receiving and inventory control practices.
• Knowledge of dimension lumber and panel products preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and invoices.
• High attention to detail in a busy outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Builds safe and efficient loads by reading pick tickets and invoices.
• Reads SKUs and identifies material types to assemble loads accurately.
• Loads and unloads company trucks using a forklift and by hand.
• Performs inventory adjustments and puts stock away.
• Tags loads and ensures paperwork accuracy per policy.
• Keeps yard clean and opens/closes yard when needed.
• Cross-trains as backup driver, receiver, counter sales, and dispatcher.
