Job summary

PARR is hiring a Load Builder in Bend, OR to safely assemble loads for drivers and to stock inventory. The role requires operating a forklift, reading pick tickets, and maintaining yard organization under various weather conditions.

You will collaborate with customer service, drivers, and supervisors to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely loading. The position emphasizes safety, training, and a strong work ethic in a dynamic outdoor setting.

Qualifications

• OSHA forklift certification required.
• Knowledge of receiving and inventory control principles.
• Knowledge of dimension lumber and panel products.
• Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and invoices.
• Attention to detail in a busy outdoor work environment.

Responsibilities

• Builds safe and efficient loads by reading pick tickets and invoices.
• Reads SKUs and identifies material types to build loads.
• Load and unload trucks with building materials using a forklift.
• Completes inventory adjustments and puts stock away.
• Tags loads and receives inventory by verifying paperwork.
• Open/close yard as needed and maintain cleanliness.
• Cross-train as backup driver/receiver/counter sales/dispatcher.
• Proactively learn products and applications; attend product knowledge meetings.
• Understand weight and length limits for company fleet; wear safety gear.
• Perform daily safety audits; report malfunctioning equipment.
• Participate in safety committee; review Hold Harmless forms.
