Job summary

PARR is seeking a Load Builder in Prineville, OR. The role focuses on safely building loads for drivers, stocking inventory, and assisting customer service as needed. You will work outdoors in varying weather and operate a forklift while maintaining accuracy and safety. This position reports to the General Manager or Dispatcher.

Qualifications

• OSHA certified forklift license or equivalent.
• Knowledge of receiving and inventory control principles.
• Familiarity with dimension lumber and panel products.
• Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and invoices.
• Ability to concentrate and maintain accuracy in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Build safe and efficient loads by reading tickets and invoices.
• Read SKUs and identify material types to assemble loads.
• Load and off-load trucks with forklift or by hand.
• Complete inventory adjustments and put stock away.
• Tag loads and ensure paperwork accuracy.
• Open and close yard as needed; maintain yard cleanliness.
• Keep forklift clean and safe; follow safety protocols.
• Assist other shop staff as needed and cross-train.
