Job summary

PARR is the total source for homebuilding supplies, solutions, and services. The load builder role focuses on assembling safe, accurate loads from lumber and building materials, using forklifts and manual handling as needed, in an outdoor yard environment.

Responsibilities include reading pick tickets, loading trucks, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding safety standards. The position requires forklift certification and a detail-oriented approach in varying weather and shift conditions.

Qualifications

• OSHA forklift license required.
• Knowledge of receiving/inventory control principles.
• Knowledge of dimension lumber, panel products and other building materials.
• Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and invoices.
• Ability to concentrate and attend to detail in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Builds safe and efficient loads by reading pick tickets and invoices.
• Reads SKUs and identifies material types to assemble loads accurately.
• Loads and unloads trucks with materials using forklift or by hand.
• Completes inventory adjustments and puts stock away.
• Tags loads and ensures proper paperwork is completed per policy.
• Maintains yard safety and cleanliness; operates equipment safely.
