Job summary

Builders FirstSource in Brevard, NC is hiring a warehouse associate to load and unload materials, build balanced loads, and prepare items for delivery. You will use forklifts, hand tools, and safety procedures to move products efficiently in a production or yard environment.

Qualifications

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
Ability to read work orders and labels and use hand tools.

Responsibilities

Load and unload materials from pallets and vehicles; secure with straps, padding, or bracing to prevent shifting.
Perform load-building by weighing, structuring, and placing items based on order and vehicle capacity.
Read work orders or follow instructions to identify materials to move.
Convey materials to storage or designated areas using hand truck, electric dolly, or forklift.
Open containers and label items to ensure correct identification.
Follow safety procedures and attend safety meetings; participate in safety improvements.
Other duties may be assigned.
