Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a Leave of Absence (LOA) Senior Specialist to support the Talent Operations Team with centralized LOA administration for employees and owners. You will handle complex LOA issues, coordinate with a third-party administrator, and ensure accurate processing across systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Reporting to the LOA Manager, you will work with HRBPs, employees, and managers to provide a positive experience, assist with return-to-work, and escalate advanced matters

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience administering LOA programs.
• Minimum of 3 years experience using an HRIS.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA, FMLA and other applicable legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Help manage all aspects of the LOA administration, including responding to LOA inquiries from employees, managers and HR.
• Schedule meetings with employees, HR and managers to ensure a positive and informed experience.
• Partner closely with third party administrator to track approvals and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with return-to-work processes for employees returning from leave.
• Act as SME with specialized LOA knowledge and escalate to LOA Administration Lead as needed.
• Ensure all leave related actions are accurately processed in all applicable systems and with the third-party administrator.
• Respond to inquiries with timely, accurate information about leaves available under laws and company policies.
• Communicate timelines and documentation requests to employees and HRBPs.
• Explain LOA policies to employees, escalating to LOA Senior Specialist and Absence Manager as needed.
• Conduct vendor and HRIS audits to ensure LOA record accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
