Job summary

Southwest Healthcare seeks a Full-Time HR Generalist - Leave of Absence (LOA) Specialist for its Temecula office. You will manage end-to-end LOA processing, ensure compliance with FMLA/CFRA and state regulations, advise managers and employees, and coordinate with payroll and healthcare providers.

You will handle ADA accommodations, workers’ compensation liaison duties, and stay‑at‑work programs while maintaining confidentiality and excellent service to staff across SoCal.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of professional HR experience focused on leave administration.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred; CLMS training a plus; CA Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing and monitoring of all leave of absence requests (FMLA/CFRA, personal, military, parental).
• Manage ADA interactive process and document accommodations with reasonable efforts.
• Coordinate with Workers’ Compensation; file DWC-1 forms and track status of lost time vs restricted duty.
• Guide employees on state benefits (CA SDI/PFL) and STD/LTD; explain eligibility.
• Collaborate with Payroll to ensure benefits integration and real-time timekeeping accuracy.
• Coordinate with third-party vendor for fitness-for-duty certifications and stay-at-work or light-duty programs.
• Respond to EDD inquiries and maintain compliance; may travel within SoCal as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
