Job summary

Southwest Healthcare in Temecula, CA is seeking a Full-Time HR Generalist - Leave of Absence (LOA) Specialist. The role is onsite and serves as the primary contact for leave administration across the SoCal region, ensuring compliant processing of LOA requests and timely communication with staff and managers.

The LOA Specialist coordinates with Payroll, manages ADA accommodations, and handles state-specific benefits (CA SDI/PFL) and STD/LTD, while supporting Workers’ Comp processes and EDD

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in HR with leave administration.
• PHR/SHRM-CP preferred.
• CA Driver's License required.
• Knowledge of FMLA/CFRA and ADA processes.
• Experience with HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer end-to-end processing of LOA requests (FMLA/CFRA, personal, military, parental).
• Manage ADA interactive process and accommodation documentation.
• Liaise between employees and managers for Workers’ Comp and DWC-1 filings.
• Explain eligibility for state benefits (CA SDI/PFL) and STD/LTD.
• Coordinate with Payroll for benefit integration and timekeeping.
• Coordinate with third-party vendor on stay-at-work and light duty programs.
• Respond to EDD inquiries and requests.
• Travel to other SoCal facilities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
