Job summary

Penn Medicine Bala Cynwyd is seeking an LOA Analyst to manage Leave of Absence requests (FMLA, other medical, and accommodation) for UPHS employees. The role requires guiding internal clients through regulatory interpretations and maintaining compliant documentation in partnership with HR and legal counsel.

Under supervision, you will update LOA databases, coordinate medical certifications, and support special projects while serving as a liaison across departments.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years related experience in LOA administration or similar.
• Knowledge of FMLA rules and ADA and related UPHS policies.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes LOA requests to determine eligibility and validation per regulations.
• Coordinates interactive process and reasonable accommodations with employee/manager and HR Generalist.
• Reviews medical certifications for ADA relevance and requests physician input when needed.
• Communicates decisions and expectations with claimants and teams; participates in ADA case discussions.
• Create standard operating procedures for leave processes; update LOA system daily.
• Conducts outreach to physicians for certification clarification.
• Identify departments with high utilization and collaborate with HR Ops to address issues.
• Coordinate return-to-work with any restrictions; conduct monthly compliance audits.
