Job summary

Bechtel in Houston seeks an experienced engineering leader to plan, develop, coordinate and review technical direction and training for large, complex projects. You will prepare estimates, approve staffing, and manage performance to ensure work meets scope, schedule, and budget.

This role supports a part-time telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project, with schedules determined in coordination with leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) with 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.
• Deep LNG project lifecycle experience across FEED, EPC, commissioning, start-up, performance testing and operations.
• In-depth knowledge of AP-X/AP-DMR/AP-SMR cycles; familiarity with AP-C3MR cycle.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate and review technical direction and training for large, complex projects.
• Prepare estimates and work scope, approve staffing needs and schedules, and manage performance to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Approve Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), Bechtel designguides, BSAPs and administrative practices.
• Mentor engineers, scientists, designers and drafters through on-the-job training.
• Coordinate with client representatives to obtain approvals on project phases.
