Job summary

Bechtel seeks a seasoned Project Field Engineer to lead field engineering on LNG plant projects along the US Gulf Coast, with potential mobility to other locations. You will supervise planning, material management, quantity take-offs, safety and quality, and coordinate with design, startup and subcontractors while guiding a project team in a heavy industrial setting.

A bachelor’s degree and 10–17 years of relevant experience are required; LNG, petrochemical, or heavy industry backgrounds highly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) required.
• 10–17 years of relevant experience for direct hire roles.
• Construction experience on LNG projects and heavy industrial environments.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead field engineering activities and supervise a team.
• Coordinate work planning, material management and quantity validation.
• Oversee safety, quality control and system turnover for subcontracts.
• Interface with design, startup and subcontractors to support turnover.
