Job summary

Stony Brook University is seeking an experienced Senior Learning Management Systems & Enterprise Applications Administrator to manage a critical LMS and related enterprise applications. The role involves configuration, integration, automation, and troubleshooting across interconnected systems to support faculty, staff, and students.

The incumbent must communicate effectively, provide excellent customer service, and manage multiple concurrent projects with a service-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with eight years of full-time experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Four years of full-time experience administering ERP or LMS or similar systems.
• Experience scripting or programming (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl).

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Brightspace (D2L) administrator including system configuration, tool management, role/permission structures and org unit hierarchy.
• Manage course shell creation, term rollover, enrollment sync, and SIS/identity/SSO integrations.
• Develop and maintain LMS-related reporting and analytics for academic units and University leadership.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot file transfer jobs and secure data transfers between internal and external systems.
