Job summary

The University of Georgia seeks a Senior Assistant Director for Learning Technologies to lead CTL’s learning technology operations, including management of the LMS, collaboration with campus partners, and guiding a large team.

Ideal candidate has 2+ years in Brightspace by D2L administration and supports its instructional use at a large research university, with knowledge of Turnitin, Respondus, Top Hat and LMS integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Experience as a system administrator for Brightspace by D2L.
• Experience supporting instructional use of Brightspace by D2L at a large research university.
• Knowledge of evaluating third‑party tools for LMS integration.
• Knowledge of Turnitin, Respondus Lockdown Browser & Monitor, and Top Hat.
• Knowledge of pedagogical principles for teaching with technology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary administrator for UGA’s learning management system.
• Provide training, consultations, and support for instructors and teaching assistants in the use of current and emerging learning technologies.
• Develop and implement workshops, resources, and other methods of support for users of learning technology at UGA.
• Collaborate with campus partners to evaluate and recommend LMS integrations.
• Provide leadership among CTL administrators for eLC across UGA and coordinate with EITS.
