Job summary

Mount Saint Mary College is seeking an Instructional Support Specialist to back digital learning operations. You will train and troubleshoot LMS usage, create resources, and support online orientation programs for both hybrid and online courses.

The role involves developing tutorials, assisting faculty with multimedia content, and helping maintain the office’s web presence and communications throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, Educational Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication.
• Strong customer service orientation with timely support to faculty, staff, and students.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Ability to learn and support new software applications and educational technologies.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary support for faculty in LMS use across instructional modalities.
• Design and deliver trainings/workshops on LMS use in instruction.
• Develop resources (documentation, video tutorials) for LMS and tech-enhanced instruction.
• Assist faculty with online placement content, including multimedia elements.
• Support Online Learning Student Orientation Tutorial for hybrid and online courses.
