Job summary

One Hope United is seeking a Living Room Engagement Specialist Part-time in Springfield, IL. The role supports the Crisis Care team, engaging individuals in crisis on-site at the Living Room Location and coordinating follow-up and community linkage for crisis stability.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention during all shifts, collaboration with a mobile crisis team, and ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA-compliant documentation. Valid driver’s license and reliable transport required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED required; CRSS/CPRS preferred.
• Peer engagement or home visiting experience preferred; lived experience with mental health or substance abuse.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with OHU coverage for auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides Crisis Intervention Services within scheduled shift; 24/7/365 coverage includes evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
• Response to crisis occurs in person at the Living Room Program location.
• Engage and coordinate with clients, families, and community resources during crisis.
• Work with crisis team partners to ensure follow-up and linkage to services.
