Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking workers for livestock care in South Dakota. Responsibilities include feeding, monitoring, and basic medical tasks, with emphasis on physical endurance and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. English speaking required; driver’s license within 30 days a plus.

Housing and meals provided, no CDL required. Three months experience preferred. Workers will operate basic equipment, manage animal movement, and maintain farm facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak English.
• Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain a driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• Experience: 3 months minimum.
• Able to work in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Feed and water livestock and monitor food supplies.
• Inspect animals for illness, injury, or disease and provide basic care.
• Administer medications or arrange for veterinary care as needed.
• Perform tasks related to breeding and animal care as described (e.g., artificial insemination where applicable).
• Maintain facilities, pens, yards, and fences; move equipment and livestock as needed.
• Follow biosecurity, food safety, and health regulations.
