Job summary

Telecare Corporation is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach I to engage members in recovery conversations, support goal setting, and promote a recovery-centered approach across services. The role emphasizes peer support, crisis de-escalation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Located in Perris, CA, the position offers a 0.8 FTE Friday-Monday shift with an hourly starting wage of $23. The program focuses on compassionate, recovery-oriented care for adults experiencing mental health

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained throughout employment.
• California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification required prior to hire date.
• Oregon: THW Certification for Peer/Wellness required prior to hire date.
• Washington: CPC Certification required prior to hire date and DOH Agency Affiliated Counselor certification within 60 days.
• Arizona: PRSS certification required prior to hire date.
• Minimum 1 year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting behavioral health volunteers.
• Experience as a beneficiary of public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance in your name.
• Willingness to use personal vehicle for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Engage and facilitate conversations to help members set and meet recovery goals.
• Promote Telecare’s Recovery Culture within a RCCS framework.
• Respond to crises with de-escalation skills to maintain a least restrictive environment.
