Job summary

Telecare Corporation is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach I to engage, inspire, and support members on their recovery goals in Oakland, CA. This full‑time role offers a daytime AM/Days schedule (8:30 AM–5:00 PM) with pay between $23.00 and $23.71 per hour and geographic differentials.

You will contribute to Telecare's Recovery Culture, provide peer support, and collaborate with the team to promote least restrictive, person‑centered care for behavioral health clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained throughout employment; California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA must be obtained within 120 days of your date of hire.
• One year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members with behavioral health challenges.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.
• Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.

Responsibilities

• Engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served to explore, create, and meet recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare's Recovery Culture as defined by RCCS.
• Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills.
• Support program operations and collaborate with team to ensure person-centered care.
