Job summary

Telecare seeks a Peer Recovery Coach for a new startup program, offering shifts AM/PM/NOC on the Wellness Village Campus in Perris, CA. The role emphasizes engaging with clients, promoting recovery goals, and supporting a recovery-centered culture within a 24/7 facility.

Starting pay ranges from $23.00 to $23.70 per hour, with geographic differentials. PTO, CEUs, tuition discounts, and health benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire.
• California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA prior to hire date required.
• 1 year or part-time equivalent experience supporting members with behavioral health challenges.
• 2 years’ full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in a mental health program.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.
• Valid and current driver’s license with insurance in your name.
• Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients (IRS mileage reimbursement).
• Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients.

Responsibilities

• Engage, inspire, and facilitate conversations to help members set and meet recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to promote Telecare’s Recovery Culture as RCCS defined program-wide.
• Respond to critical situations with de-escalation to maintain a least restrictive environment.
• Support startup program activities and coordinate with teams to integrate services.
