Job summary

JBS Foods offers a 10-week summer internship in Sanford, NC to gain hands-on experience across live Operations. You will shadow Hatchery, Broilers, Breeders, and Feed Mill teams, learning egg handling, vaccinations, housing, and on-farm operations while contributing to process improvements.

A mentor will guide your development, with leadership training and real-world projects aligned to business objectives. This program emphasizes growth and exposure to the global food supply chain.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in four-year university or pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.

Responsibilities

• Support the live Operations Team.
• Shadow Hatchery to learn egg handling, vaccinations, transfers, and chick handling.
• Observe Broilers operations and communication with growers and broiler techs.
• Shadow Breeder operations, servicing, vaccinations, and weighing tasks.
• Tour the Feed Mill and observe process, tests, and feed types.
• Observe the Live Haul process and assist in unloading trucks.
• Complete and present a project related to issues within the rendering department.
