Job summary

JBS Foods invites you to join a 10-week summer internship focused on optimizing operational gaps across hatchery, broilers, breeders, feed mill, and live haul processes. You’ll shadow teams, learn egg handling, vaccinations, and farm operations while building practical project experience.

You will work with a mentor, gain exposure to leadership, and potentially grow into a career path within the global food supply chain. Relocation stipend offered and relocation support provided.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in four-year university or pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.

Responsibilities

• Will provide support to the live Operations Team.
• Shadowing within the Hatchery: Understanding proper egg handling procedures, vaccinations, transferring, and chick handling.
• Broilers: Witnessing communication with growers and shadow broiler techs to get a good understanding of their day to day.
• Breeder's: Shadow working hands with pullet crews. Get firsthand experience in servicing, vaccinations, and weighing.
• Feed Mill's: Tour the feed mill and see the entire process. Understanding the different types of feed and testing procedures.
• Observe the Live Haul process overall and help unload trucks.
• Complete and present a project related to issues within the rendering department.
