Job summary

JBS USA is offering a 10-week summer internship to help identify operational gaps and improve process efficiency across Hatchery, Broilers, Breeders, Feed Mills, and Live Haul operations. You will work with our live Operations Team, gain hands-on exposure, and develop a project addressing rendering department issues.

We seek students enrolled in a four-year university with a minimum 2.5 GPA, capable of lifting 50 lbs, and eager to learn in a large, global food company.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in four-year university or pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.

Responsibilities

• Will provide support to the live Operations Team
• Shadowing within the Hatchery: Understanding proper egg handling procedures, vaccinations, transferring, and chick handling.
• Broilers: Witnessing communication with growers and shadow broiler techs to get a good understanding of their day to day.
• Breeders: Shadow working hands with pullet crews. Get firsthand experience in servicing, vaccinations, and weighing.
• Feed Mills: Tour the feed mill and see the entire process. Understanding the different types of feed and testing procedures.
• Observe the Live Haul process overall and help unload trucks.
• Complete and present a project related to issues within the rendering department
