Job summary

Perdue Farms in Laurel, Delaware invites you to join the Live Management Trainee program. Over 24 months you will rotate through Live Operations, build producer relationships, and learn the flock production cycle.

This Pathways program begins in June 2027, blending hands-on field learning, mentorship, and leadership development to prepare you for a future Flock Advisor role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required or completed within 24 months of Pathways start date.
• Strong customer service, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent reading, math, written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a field-based environment and communicate with producers and partners.
• Ability to work well in a team and influence results without direct authority.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and sound judgment.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete structured rotations across Live Operations functions to understand end-to-end live production and how decisions affect flock performance.
• Build relationships with contract producers and communicate expectations related to production programs and performance.
• Monitor key production metrics and escalate issues as needed.
• Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on flock performance, welfare, and safety.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to support service and performance goals.
