Job summary

Perdue Farms in Fredericksburg, PA, is seeking candidates for the Live Management Trainee program. The 24-month journey combines hands-on field learning with structured rotations across Live Operations to develop future leaders in flock performance and supply.

Participants begin as an hourly LMT I and advance to LMT II with a salary progression, aiming for a full-time Flock Advisor role after year one. The program emphasizes mentorship, continuous improvement, and business acumen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Strong customer service, relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work in field-based environments and travel as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the production area.

Responsibilities

• Complete structured rotations across Live Operations, including hatchery, feed mill, veterinary services, processing and related areas.
• Build producer relationships and monitor flock performance and route activities.
• Support biosecurity, food safety, and poultry welfare practices during rotations.
• Develop leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills for future Flock Advisor role.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives and mentorship activities.
